Students at the Shires Stretton and Oakham took part in the bronze Duke of Edinburgh award expedition. This involved taking part in a number of different activities:
Part 1: The students first started by looking at basic first aid and survival skills before leaving site
Part 2: Once the students where proficient with the first aid and survival skills they got to take part in a practice expedition where they had to put up a tent independently and cook a dinner. On the walk they also had to learn how to navigate on a map and get used to working as a team.
Part 3: The final part was the expedition itself. This was a massive challenge for the students as this had to be completed as independently as possible but they all successfully completing their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition section. WELL DONE!!!!!
