Stowe Court

Stowe Court is our children’s home for two young people located within the same village as The Shires main site. The home provides a safe and secure environment where young people are encouraged to be as independent as possible, and to make choices and decisions about all aspects of their lives. Stowe Court provides opportunities for young people to lead fulfilling lives and to continue to achieve and extend their learning. Excellent levels of support from experienced, energetic and enthusiastic staff, enable individuals to take part in a wide range of activities that promote their social, emotional, physical and mental development. Emphasis is placed on the young people being healthy, happy and safe so that they are able to achieve and to take their place within the community in which they live. Education is provided at The Shires main site. The young people at Stowe Court are transported to school every morning.

Stowe Court is a semi-detached house that provides accommodation for two young people. The house provides attractive, good quality, well maintained accommodation, which is tailored to meet the individual’s needs. It is located in a quiet cul de sac and looks out over open fields.

The house has three bedrooms, a large kitchen/dining room, a lounge, bathroom and upstairs cloakroom. The kitchen opens onto a large, secure and private garden with patio. The accommodation meets health and safety requirements and is in excellent decorative order having recently been redecorated. Stowe Court has its own transport enabling all young people to go out together or individually. Situated within easy reach of several small towns, swimming pools, leisure centres and parks the young people have easy access to a wealth of leisure activities as well as all the resources available at The Shires main site.
